A new model for learning in York, PA, offering year-round school with before and after care
Masters Academy is a tuition-free public charter school opening in August 2027, serving Kindergarten through 2nd Grade and expanding annually to become a full K–8 academy.
Located in the heart of York, Pennsylvania, Masters Academy was founded on a simple belief: every child deserves the opportunity to learn at the pace that's right for them. We are reimagining education through a personalized, competency-based learning model that focuses on mastery, confidence, and real understanding rather than simply moving students forward because the calendar says it's time.
Our mission is to create a learning environment where students are challenged, supported, and empowered to reach their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally.

Our balanced year-round calendar includes quarterly Intersession periods designed to reinforce learning, provide enrichment opportunities, and reduce summer learning loss. Students stay connected to learning throughout the year while enjoying more frequent breaks that support wellness, engagement, and academic growth.

At Masters Academy, learning is measured by understanding, not seat time. Students demonstrate mastery through projects, presentations, collaboration, classroom performance, and real-world application of knowledge. Masters Academy will be located at 625 East Philadelphia Street in York, a fully renovated educational facility featuring 31 classrooms, science labs, a gymnasium, library and media center, and modern learning spaces designed to support student achievement.
Opening in Fall 2027, Masters Academy invites families seeking a more personalized, student-centered educational experience to join our founding school community.
